Enagic Situation
The real competitor or challenge to “Enagic” is here in the United
States now. This can be good for consumers but possibly not for
Enagic’s distributors and other competition.

Lately, we have been hearing growing concern about the current
situation with the Enagic Company. To try to answer some of the
looming questions, we would like to present the best of our
knowledge of the situation. Hopefully we could have Enagic
President Mr. Hironari Oshiro address this issue as we cannot
provide definitive answers to this incident.

To our knowledge, the situation is as follows. Lately, “Enagic” put an
ad on Google and their company website claiming the exclusive
copyright to use the term “Kangen Water” in the United States
(which is a multi-level marketing business). A few days later,
another company claimed that they not only also carry the right to
use the term “Kangen Water” in the United States but that the
President of Enagic, Mr. Oshiro, personally signed the contract with
Sanastec Inc. in Japan to allow them to do “retail and wholesale”
business in the U.S with rights to the term “Kangen Water” as well.
As we know, Enagic’s products used to be manufactured from
Sanastec Inc with the same technology, materials, and quality
control. Even under these conditions, there was a tremendous price
differential between the machines from the two companies so as a
result, many distributors became angered with either some
contemplating quitting the company or have already quit.

We can’t begin to claim that we understand the reasoning behind
this business deal. Both of these companies are supposed to be
companions but to the public, it seems like they are fighting with
each other. This is like cutting off your left hand with your right. Why
would Mr. Oshiro want to do this? Either way, we hope these
companies can find a solution quickly to avoid losing their consumer
and distributor’s trust. We cannot answer this question, but
thankfully the marketing strategy may still be on the right track.
There are so many companies that directly or indirectly use Kangen
Water to confuse consumers that their products are not only on the
same level in quality or even better than Enagic’s but also much
cheaper. After doing some research, you may find that some
companies don’t EVEN list where their product is made or where it
is sent for service. Furthermore, some companies claim their
machine can produce strong acidic water but not down to a pH level
below 2.5. As many of you know, if strong acidic water cannot reach
levels of 2.5 or lower, the water cannot kill viruses or bacteria so
what’s the purpose? Most consumers couldn’t tell how important
that it is, so they ended up purchasing a competitor’s product with
much regret. One of the primary and most significant reasons for
why consumers choose a competitor’s product over Enagic’s is
because of price. Many find Enagic’s machines a little over their
budget and try to settle on another cheaper alternative. Purchasing
a machine MADE IN Japan and a medical device at a retail price
instead of a multi-level marketing price may be in the best interest
for these consumers. We will support the company to do either way
and hopefully we can carry some of their machines so as we don’t
lose any market share. Certainly, we would like to see the company
do well no matter what kind of strategy as long as neither side is
hurt. We love “Kangen Water” and will continue to support the
company. We hope Enagic can resolve this issue smoothly.
However, we are still wondering, for those companies that do not
have the “Kangen Water” copyright and fabricate many false
statements; Enagic threatened to take action against them but it has
been so many years already and there has been no progress. May
we get an explanation?
